link list no.10

1  /  Allyssa of The Barn has a great series on branding your blog -- in fact, it's so good that I'm starting to consider a rebranding project!

2  /  It's official, photographer Emil Nystrom takes the most awesome baby photos ever. His daughter has been a painter, car mechanic, and even a fruit ninja!

3  /  I can't stop staring at Fricote's fun, vibrant, and quirky covers! They speak so well for themselves, it doesn't even matter that I barely remember anything from French 101...

4  /  You've probably already seen Paul Octavious's Pantone Project, but it really is so brilliant that I couldn't resist including it in this week's links.

5  /  With a pile of comfy pillows and windows to die for, this is quite possibly the greatest reading nook I've ever come across! (Real source, anyone?)

Considering  /  a new tattoo that is small and simple, yet significant -- most likely a tiny elephant like this one.

Loving  /  this chic summer ensemble, complete with an iconic Panama hat. I so wish I could pull off hats!

Coveting  /  these amazing built-in shelves. I usually like brighter (i.e. white) furnishings, but this room looks like an ideal oasis from the coming summer heat.

Listening to  /  No Sugar in My Coffee by Caught A Ghost. I'm seriously in love with this song and how it melds so many musical styles and influences.

1  /  I love the light in this vacant building... one of my favorite photographs from William Waldron's portfolio.

2  /  The Camille Styles office also makes wonderful use of light thanks to those gorgeous French doors.

3  /  This cherry pomegranate granita looks so good -- I will definitely be making it this summer!

4  /  I am officially adding Luberon Valley to my must-visit list. It looks like the setting for a fairytale...

5  /  This easy DIY has amazing, Anthropologie-worhty results. I can hardly wait to try it out myself!

1  /  I love indulgent sweets, but this PB&J smoothie looks delicious and healthy. Can't wait to try it!

2  /  In fact, I'd love to sip on said smoothie while sitting in this amazing nook. (Original source, anyone?)

3  /  I'm so glad I came across this Maya Angelou quote -- such an inspirational way to approach life!

4  /  This black-and-white film photography of Florence makes me want to drop everything and go.

5  /  Like I said -- I love sweets! These cinnamon sugar mini donuts (baked, note fried!) look absolutely divine.

Admiring  /  this Garamond "O.G." Type Poster by Michael Lashford and Kelly Rodgers. It's gorgeously designed, with a perfect dose of humor.

Dressing  /  exclusively in workout clothes since the weather has taken a turn for the worse, but this sparkly-yet-casual outfit has me inspired to be more creative!

Coveting  /  these wooden letters by WE ArchDesign, because, well -- just look at how beautiful they are. Simple and stunning and useful!

Snacking on  /  Angie's Popcorn, which is delicious and also happens to have some pretty awesome packaging, designed by Sam Soulek.

moodboard | clean & fresh

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7

Or, in the words of Outkast, so fresh and so clean clean. My moodboard last week focused on the rejuvenating qualities of spring, and this week is somewhat of a variation on a theme. I know I can't be the only one who has the spring cleaning bug, and for me this includes everything -- my room, my wardrobe, my computer files, etc. Visually, this translates to gorgeous whites, crisp blues, and clean lines. And with such a pretty palette, I admit I can't help but feel a little excited to do some cleaning and reorganizing!

Loving  /  this adorable collection of balloon animal pillows from Anais & I. It'd be ideal to have the whole set, although the dinosaur is definitely my favorite -- I'd love to have it as a print!

Watching  /  the irresistible quirkiness (and awkwardness!) of New Girl -- and especially loving the last couple of episodes. If you don't watch this show already, I highly recommend you start!

Craving  /  these mouth-watering pear muffins that happen to be much healthier than your average baked good -- in lieu of oil, butter, and sugar, these babies are packed with pear puree, yogurt, and honey!

Listening to  /  Diane Young, the new(ish) single from Vampire Weekend. Who else can't wait for their next album, Modern Vampires of the City?

decor | graphic + gold desktop

4  |  Dreams Print by Kimsey Price  |  $15
6  |  Acrylic Stapler  |  Sold out, unfortunately!

I have a very clear vision of what I want my future workspace to look like -- ideally, there'll be a herringbone-patterned wood floor, a big white desk, and a gallery wall full of inspiring work. Of course, I don't have the means to create that perfect space yet, and I definitely want to wait until I have a permanent space so I can do it right.  In the meantime, I've found a bunch of great (and affordable!) pieces so I can still capture the aesthetic I want. Plus, this way, I can always add new finds or switch things out when my mood changes!

5 things | DIYs to try

Here's the thing. I love the idea of DIY (and I definitely love pinning DIY projects), but I rarely get around to the actual doing. Maybe it's because a lot of my work is already creatively driven, which makes my free-time activity choices somewhat less involved (i.e. zoning out to Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube). Given the number of fun ideas that I've accumulated on Pinterest, though, I've decided it's time to actually get going on some projects. I'd be pretty excited to try out any of the above...
