How do I know I'm a big design nerd? When I get bored, sometimes I create logos and slogans for random, non-existent brands. The one above is a result of me thinking about how hard it is to target certain audiences for certain products. Gelato -- although universally delicious and definitely enjoyed by both genders -- is one of those things that seems to always be branded in similar ways. One is bright, colorful, and even a little cutesy at times, while another is softer and more feminine. Either way, it's not necessarily the kind of aesthetic that your average "dude" would go for. My silly little sketch is a purely hypothetical (and purely first draft!) take branding marketing gelato with guys in mind... How do you think I did?
